Journal paper

This week I am writing our journal paper for the ESIN journal.  I also wrote an abstract for the AGU conference.

So far I’m about half way through the journal paper with included figures.  The abstract for the AGU is complete.  While I won’t describe the entire paper (as it should soon be readable), the basic premise is that our coverage tool and experiments provide three major contributions:

1) we present an investigation into the applicability of existing techniques for the environmental and earth sciences domain

2) we present a novel expansion to existing techniques to include subclass-axiom matching

3) we present an experiment that quantitatively evaluates the relevancy of the SWEET ontology to establish a likely “worst-case” baseline and find that they are quite representative of the earth and environmental sciences domain.
