This past week was spent creating and editing the graphics for the paper – I dove head first into the world of ggplot and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to work with. One type of graph – the initial timelines graph – was almost impossible to create in R, so I had to use Excel for that graph. The majority of the week was spent on the graphics, as well as documentation of the plots and my r-code.
This week has been focused and will continue to be focusedย on writing up and editing the results, and combining them with the introduction. So far, the write-up is not as structured in terms of “sections” as with other scientific papers, but the flow seems to make sense.
