The first draft of the student instructions looks great! I added a few comments and questions via Track Changes; you can find those in the DataONE plone folder.
We should check with Steph on this, but in general I think it might be worthwhile to beef up the introduction a bit, with information about the learning objectives and the statistics that will be used/covered (with references in case they aren’t familiar with them?).
I like the look of the Appendix so far too.ย What about adding a paragraph about the R program? If we are assuming they are novices it might be useful to talk about the program’s general format and how it’s used by ecologists.
