This week was spent working on the GitHub page. I also read and reviewed a few online tutorials regarding Jekyll which changes the template on GitHub. I am working remotely with my mentors, but I had the good fortune of being in New Mexico this weekend, and had the opportunity to meet and work with my primary mentor Rebecca Koskela in Albuquerque.

There were a few things on my original work plan that needed some revision, so we revised the plan together, and I do believe that the new work load will keep me busy for the rest of the summer and is a little more manageable.

In the coming weeks I will be working on an instructional blog (as well as report) for the next metadata directory intern, as well as for anyone who would like to contribute to the GitHub page but does not have a programming background. I feel that one of my biggest concerns with my performance in this internship is the fact that I am not a programmer which, I feel, has hindered me in certain ways (trying to learn GitBash, for example, in a ten week span has been a little daunting for me). However, I feel that my library background has added to the project, and I feel that the learning outcomes from this internship will benefit my library career.

With that in mind, I will post my guide to GitHub for the non programmer in the next few weeks.

Here is the GitHub page which I have been working on this summer, for your consideration: http://rd-alliance.github.io/metadata-directory/

Let me know what you all think of the page so far. I welcome any feedback!
