Week One is well on its way for the Metadata Directory project. I’ve spent my first day getting to know my mentors as well as aspects of the directory that I will be working on. Former project intern, Sean Chen spent some time going over the github version of the directory as well as the git version control system. This will be my first experience working with a version control system which is a little intimidating, but I’m also looking forward to the learning outcomes of this project. I am planning on spending the next week learning git basics as well as attending the Research Data Alliance intern meeting in Indiana.
